Erik Vogt

CEO / Accountable Manager

Erik Vogt founded Vogt Aviation Certification and Engineering, LLC in 2004 after working for over 15 years in various aerospace engineering roles. Erik worked at Boeing for many years including roles as certification engineer, designated engineering representative (DER), and material review board engineer (MRB). He has worked with an expansive list of airlines, MRO's, aircraft leasing companies, and regulatory agencies across the globe. 

This experience allowed him to provide liaison/repair engineering support to a variety of customers for heavy checks, VIP and commercial aircraft modifications, line maintenance, and flight operations. His certification knowledge includes FAA Part 23, 25, 27 & 29 aircraft in mechanical systems, cabin safety, electrical systems and he has multiple specialty designations as well.

As CEO of Vogt Aero, Erik is focused on the continual improvement of the designs, quality, processes and people that make-up the company. This approach is the driving force of Vogt Aero and it is why the company proudly carries the family name.

Joanne Vogt

President

Joanne Vogt has been working as a consultant in aviation since 2010 and currently is the Co-owner and President of Vogt Aero.  Originally Vogt Aviation Certification and Engineering; the company rebranded to Vogt Aero, LLC in 2016 adding a PMA division. Joanne's leadership has helped the company to grow year over year since 2016.

Before the career change into aviation, Joanne spent 16 years in educational leadership and school administration, holding a variety of positions including High School Athletic Director, High School Dean of Students, Physical Education Department Chair and coach. She attended Santa Clara University and has a Masters from Loyola Marymount University.

Joanne enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Together they enjoy traveling, athletics, and doing DIY projects.

Glen Edwardsen

Business Development Director

Glen Edwardsen is currently the Business Development Director for Vogt Aero.  Glen joined the company in 2015 as a business consultant and was promoted shortly thereafter to his current position.

Glen manages global sales, customer relations, procurement, logistics and marketing. His leadership has made a major impact on Vogt Aero’s growth and operational success since joining the company.

Prior to Vogt Aero, Glen was an operations leader with Amazon.com. During his five years with Amazon, Glen managed large teams in all aspects of their logistics and distribution operation including real-time process improvement.

Glen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Engineering Management from Oregon State University. He is active in the aviation industry and he currently serves as the marketing committee Co-Chair for the Modification and Replacement Parts Association. (MARPA)
